AFC Bournemouth are reportedly closely monitoring League One star Jack Baldwin during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

The newly-promoted Premier League side, who currently sit just three points above the relegation zone, have been impressed by the Peterborough United defender’s displays during scouting sessions throughout the 2015/16 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who joined Posh from Hartlepool United two years ago in a deal worth £500,000, has made five appearances in all competitions for Graham Westley’s side this season.

The Cherries believe Baldwin; who can play at centre-half, right-back or in midfield, has the potential to step up to the Premier League in the short-term future.
