Chelsea reportedly look set to miss out on summer target Antoine Griezmann, according to French publication Telefoot.
The defending Premier League champions, who defeated Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon, have been heavily linked with a move for the France international winger.
The 24-year-old, who has 20 international caps for the Euro 2016 hosts, has scored a sensational 18 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants this season.
Griezmann, who has been identified by the Blues as their ideal replacement for fellow forward Eden Hazard at the end of this campaign, has had his buy-out clause increased from £60m to £75m by Atletico last week.
With Hazard attracting interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid this summer; it is understood Chelsea are eager to fight off Madrid once more, plus Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, for Griezmann’s services after the UEFA European Championships this summer.
However the French star told Telefoot, “I am feeling very well at Atletico.
“This is a big club and I want to achieve great things here. I am ambitious and my goal is to win trophies here.
“I have become a more complete player and have to continue on the same path. I am not at my best just yet.
“I work every day to improve and reach my top. I am still far away from the best players.”
