Man City

Fourth-placed Manchester City will look to get their title challenge back on track when they host second-placed Tottenham Hotspur on Valentine’s Day at the Etihad Stadium.

The Citizens were beaten 3-1 at home by top of the table Leicester City last weekend, and Manuel Pellegrini will know his side can’t afford to lose any more ground on the sides above them.

Star striker Sergio Aguero has been his team’s key man in recent weeks, scoring all four of their previous four Premier League goals, and the Argentine attacker will need his team-mates to step up to the plate to support him.

The Sky Blues will take confidence from the fact that they have scored 10 goals in their last two home meetings with their opponents on Sunday.

However, they face a tough task against a Spurs side that have soared to second with four straight victories, and a team that haven’t been beaten away from home since the opening day – in Manchester at Old Trafford.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men secured a 1-0 win over Watford at White Hart Lane last time out thanks to Kieran Trippier’s second half goal, and won’t be afraid ahead of their trip north knowing they thrashed City 4-1 at home back in September.

The North London outfit also know they have the best defensive record in the top-flight having conceded just 19 goals.

Team News:

The hosts have been boosted with the news that captain Vincent Kompany is back in contention following a calf problem, while David Silva is also fit.

However, Fabian Delph and Bacary Sagna will both miss this top-four clash.

Pochettino is likely to start Dele Alli after the England international came off the bench to grab an assist last time out, while Kevin Wimmer will continue you deputise for the injured Jan Vertonghen.
