Sheffield Wednesday defeated Birmingham City 2-1 last Saturday to snatch the Championship’s final play-off spot in sixth.

Carlos Carvalhal’s Sheffield Wednesday are the surprise package of the season. Whilst the side have been steadily improving since promotion from League One back in 2011/12, the Owls are currently on track for their highest ever finish in the second tier since relegation from the Premier League back in the 1999/2000 season.

The team from Hillsborough are unbeaten in six their last outings and have recorded six victories in their last ten games, helping them collect eleven points in their last five results. The additions of Fernando Forestieri and Gary Hooper have only strengthened the side and come the end of the season, Sheffield Wednesday may just still be in with a shot at the title.
