27th January 2016

There was only two games in the Championship in midweek, with both matches featuring teams currently sitting in the middle of the table, and they ended in draws.

At Griffin Park, Brentford were held 1-1 by Leeds United. Sam Saunders’ first half strike had given the hosts the lead, but a late strike from loanee Mustapha Carayol earned Steve Evans’ side a share of the points. The Bees stay 10th and are just six points off the top-six, while the Whites jump up two places to 14th.

The game between Nottingham Forest and QPR ended 0-0. Forest are now 13 games without a loss and move to within seven points of the play-offs. Rangers move up a place to 13th.
