League One: Manager, Player and Goal of the Month (December)
5th January 2016

Player of the Month: Andy Williams (Doncaster)

Williams hit form in December by scoring four goals in four games for Rovers and his contributions undoubtedly earned his side extra points. He began the month by scoring an excellent last gasp winner against Crewe in an incredible game where Donny trailed going into injury time, before scoring twice to complete a turnaround. The former Swindon forward notched again in a topsy-turvy 3-3 draw at Burton Albion and rounded off an excellent few weeks by netting both goals in a win at struggling Oldham.

Andy Williams has scored 13 goals for Donny this season

Manager of the Month: Sean O’Driscoll (Walsall)

This was a tricky decision with a number of teams enjoying good spells in December, but the new Walsall head coach managed a 100% start with three wins from three. It’s not easy taking over a winning team because expectations are high and it’s easy to upset the apple cart, but O’Driscoll began with a 2-0 win over Port Vale, before guiding the Saddlers to a 1-0 victory over Millwall at the Den. Probably the most impressive result though was the final one of 2015, as Walsall secured a fourth consecutive clean sheet in a 2-0 triumph over fellow high-fliers Peterborough at the Banks’ Stadium.

Goal of the Month: Andy Williams (Doncaster Rovers – 1st goal)
