Spurs given green light to sign Ligue 1 ace

Tottenham have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Lille star Sofiane Boufal.

The Premier League outfit, who thrashed newly promoted AFC Bournemouth 5-1 on Sunday, are understood to have been told they can buy the Morocco midfielder and then loan the player back to his parent club during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who is valued at around £30m by the Ligue 1 side, has scored four goals in ten league appearances for Lille so far this season.

Boufal, who has also been scouted by Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool in the past, is currently tryng to break into the Morocco national team despite originally being born in Paris, France.
