Top 5: La Liga 2015/16 wonderkids
19th August 2015

2. Marcos Asenio (Real Madrid)

Despite having just returned from a loan spell at Mallorca, it is almost certain that Madrid will send their youngster out on loan this season in order to gain some first-team football, with Espanyol seeming the most interested. Wherever he does end up, even if he stays at the Bernabeu, Asenio is ready to compete with the best and burst onto the La Liga scene.

The attacking midfielder is incredibly agile, a fine dribbler and pinpoint passer. It is his ability to draw opponents and carve defences in two that has won the plaudits. The 19-year-old starred in Spain’s under-19 European Cup win this summer and made headlines for his outstanding assist in the final. Spanish football fans will be expecting more high profile performances this term.
